SUTTON, Mass.— Sophomore Pranav Mohan
(Fremont, Calif.) tied for second with a round of 76 as the Babson
College men's golf team finished fourth at the Worcester State
University Rich Korzec Invitational on Wednesday at Blackstone National
Golf Club.
The Beavers finished with a team score of 317 to come in nine shots
behind first-place Salem State University. Rhode Island College finished
five shots back in second place, while the host-Lancers came in third
with a total of 314. Western New England University rounded out the top
five with a team total of 320.
Mohan, who made the turn at 1-under par finished at 4-over, just two
shots behind Tom MacPherson of Salem State, who took medalist honors
with a 74. Sophomore Andrew Neal (Chevy Chase, Md.) and first-year Lukas Linemayr (Hampton, N.H.), who was making his collegiate debut, both shot 79 to tie for 14th position.
Sophomore Dan Young (Westwood, Mass.) carded an 83 and classmate Ian Notkin (Caldwell, N.J.) posted an 86 for Babson, which recorded its lowest score in four spring rounds.
The Beavers return to action on Saturday when they tee it up in the
first round of the Johnson & Wales University Invitational at
Cranston (R.I.) Country Club.
