PRINCETON, N.J. - University of Massachusetts men's track and field program wrapped up the final day of the Larry Ellis Invitational Saturday at Princeton University. The 4x100 meter relay team of Connor Williams, Deion Arneaud, Cory Adelson and Youssef Elkorchi claimed 11th with a time of 42.43 seconds, an IC4A-qualifying time, to highlight the day's action.
Williams was just shy of qualifying for IC4A Championships in 100 meter dash, finishing 22nd at
11.03 seconds.
Cole Acoveno was in action in high jump, placing 14th with a height of 6 feet, 4.75 inches.
The 4x400 meter relay `team of Andrew Burke, Andrew Hanwell, Arneaud and Elkorchi finished 18th with a time of 3 minutes, 24.09 seconds.
Burke also competed in 800 meter run and the sophomore placed 24th with a time of 1:55.64. Freshman Zachary Frahlich was on his heels, crossing the line in 26th at 1:55.75. Close behind was sophomore Brian Gendron in 28th with a time of 1:55.88 and Alex Finestone was 31st at 1:56.12.
The Minutemen are back in action Sat., Apr. 30 for the UNH Pre-Conference Meet. It will mark the last competition scheduled before the Atlantic 10 Championships and is slated to begin 11:00 a.m. in Durham, N.H.
