Wellesley 7, Springfield 3 -- Game One
Despite impressive games at the plate from Sam Cox (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Alicia Pavadore
(Taunton, Mass.), the Pride dropped the first of two to Wellesley, 7-3, on Friday afternoon. Cox was 3-for-3 with an RBI at the plate, while Pavadore was 3-for-4 in the contest.

Talia Loda (East Haven, Conn.) took the circle for the Pride and pitched 2.0 innings, before Shelby Allen (Oakland, N.J.) came on in relief to quiet the Blue bats, only allowing two hits. For Wellesley, Madeline Bianchi (Lakeville, Minn.) pitched 7.0 innings, only allowing three runs while striking out one.

A five-run bottom of the second inning proved to be the difference, as the Pride would surrender another two runs in the bottom of the fifth, making it 7-0 Wellesley.

In the top of the sixth, Mackenzie Navarro (Taunton, Mass.) knocked a single up the middle, scoring Pavadore, before the Pride added a pair more in the top of the seventh off of an RBI double from Jenna Webb (Harrison, N.Y.) and an RBI single from Cox, but was unable to complete the comeback, dropping the first, 7-3.

Wellesley 3, Springfield 0 -- Game Two
In the second leg of the doubleheader, Nicole Cring (Cooperstown, N.Y.) took the circle and pitched 3.2 innings, giving up eight hits and three runs, while Jordyn Moquin (Plantsville, Conn.) came on in relief to quiet the Wellesley bats, pitching 2.1 innings of hitless ball.

The Blue struck first in the bottom of the first, before adding two more in the bottom of the fourth, as Wellesley's pitcher Julia Warner (Kennmore, Wash.) held the Pride to just two hits in 7.0 innings to pick up her fifth win of the year.
