The 36-hole event features an alternate shot format in the morning, followed by singles match play in the afternoon.
In the alternating shot format, Williams defeated Wesleyan, 4-0, while Amherst also defeated the Cardinals, 4-0. The Ephs added a 3-1 win over the Purple & White.
In singles match play, both Amherst and Williams defeated Wesleyan by a score of 7-1, while the
Purple & White and Ephs split, 4-4.
Williams defeated Wesleyan, 11-1 and Amherst, 7-5, while the Purple & White earned an 11-1 win over the Cardinals.
ALTERNATING SHOT HIGHLIGHTS
- Amherst defeated Wesleyan, 4-0 as the tandem of Sam Procter '18 and Mateo Wiesner '18; Justin Henricksen '18 and Patrick Arena '16; Dan Langa '18 and Jack Burlison '19; and James Line '16, and Liam Fine '17 each earned a point against the Cardinals.
- Procter and Wiesner also picked up a point against Williams, defeating Mike Stone and Jack Coyne.
- In singles action against Wesleyan, Arena, Wiesner, Henriksen, Procter, Line, Burlison, and Fine each picked up a point for Amherst, helping the Purple & White seal an 11-1 victory over the Cardinals.
- Against Williams, the Ephs claimed the first two points through Moss and Tsay, before Henriksen, Procter, Line and Burlison rattled off four points in a row to even the overall match at 5-5.
- Williams held on for the narrow victory as Stone and Coyne collected the final two points.
- Amherst returns to action Saturday and Sunday, April 23-24 at the Williams Spring Opener.
