The lacrosse team holds a perfect 10-0 record heading into conference play

NEWTON, Mass. The No. 1 Boston College lacrosse team saw goals from seven different players as they topped UAlbany, 17-9, Tuesday afternoon in Newton. The Eagles were led by four goals from senior Sam Apuzzo and three each from classmate Dempsey Arsenault and graduate student Kenzie Kent. Sophomore goalkeeper Abbey Ngai kept up between the pipes, recording a career-high 14 saves on the day.
Following Apuzzo's explosive goal just 32 seconds into the contest, the Eagles looked to find their groove after a pair of Great Dane goals from Kyla Zapolski and Hannah Newman put UAlbany up for their only lead of the afternoon.  Despite the sluggish start for BC, the Eagles quickly grasped their footing with a 7-3 run led by three goals from Arsenault. Apuzzo tallied her second of the day in the stretch while junior Cara Urbank and sophomores Jordan Lappin and Maggie Casey added one each.

Entering the second half only up by three goals, Lappin tallied her second of the day by capitalizing on a free position shot. Urbank added one to follow before allowing Hailey Carroll to add one for the visitors. Kent answered right away, scoring three goals in the span of 3:20 for BC. Freshman Jenn Medjid scored the next goal to double-up on the Great Danes. Apuzzo added her third and fourth of the night before freshman Courtney Weeks capitalized on a free position to wrap up the contest.
