Hannah Keating and Katie Muldoon added goals for Harvard, which played its final non-conference road contest and wrapped up its two-game central New York spring break trip.
The Crimson responded to an early four-goal run for the Orange with consecutive goals at 19:31 and 18:01 of the opening half from Keating and Muldoon to make it 4-2. The Crimson stayed within striking distance behind MacAfee's free position goal with 3:05 to play, which made it 7-3.
But the Orange scored three straight goals to close out the half and pull away from the Crimson.
Harvard held Syracuse scoreless for a span of 18:32 late in the second, scoring three consecutive goals with Hulslander (16:38) and MacAfee (2:35, 1:37) providing the offense. But the Crimson could not overcome the deficit.
