The duo combined for 16 points as the lacrosse team holds their perfect record

ANNAPOLIS, Md.The No. 1 Boston College lacrosse team faced their toughest competition thus far this season and came out on top in dominant fashion, 18-5, over No. 12 Navy. Senior Sam Apuzzo put on another Tewaaraton-worthy performance, putting up a season-high eight goals and adding two assists to match her career-high of 10 points for the fourth time. Classmate Dempsey Arsenault recorded her first hat trick of the season and added three assists as her six points was second-most of any player in the contest. Sophomore goalkeeper Abbey Ngai posted her third consecutive 12-save performance.
The Eagles let the Midshipmen hop on the board first, as Kelly Larkin got the scoring started for the evening. This would turn to be Navy's only lead of the evening as it wasn't long before Apuzzo scored – and scored, and scored – to give BC a 3-1 jump. Navy's Marina Lazarides pushed the home team within two goals but Kate Taylor found her first of the season to hold the lead for the Eagles. Larkin's second of the day came just before Kenzie Kent's first, followed by Apuzzo's fourth. Moriah Snyder added the fourth and final point of the opening frame for the Mids as Kent scored again, Taylor Walker followed and Apuzzo and Arsenault each added two more to round out the opening frame. Navy flip-flopped their net coverage between starter Gab Harchelroad and reliever Abbi Young, but couldn't find a way to stop the Eagles from finding the back of the net.

The total offense came to a screeching halt in the second frame, but not until after Arsenault wrapped up her hat trick early. Reagan Roelofs tallied one for Navy but the attempt at cutting the deficit was pushed back by consecutive goals from Cara Urbank, Sheila Rietano, Walker and two more from Apuzzo. 16 goals were tallied through both teams in the opening frame while the second half saw just seven.
