Harvard started strong, taking the doubles point with all three pairs earning a win. Rookies Andy Zhou and Chris Morrow took down their opponents at the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively. Zhou rallied from a first-set loss to defeat Matt Nardella and Morrow won in straight-sets.
Senior Kelvin Lam continued his winning ways with a three-set win over Josh Pompan in the No. 3 slot. Sophomore Jean Thirouin posted a win in the No. 6 slot with a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win over Ismael Lahlou.
Tao fought back from a 6-1 loss in the first set to take the next two, 6-3 and 6-4. The sophomore secured the first Ivy League win for Harvard with the win over Vim De Alwis.
The Crimson will be back in Cambridge tomorrow to host No. 37 Princeton.
