BOSTON—Coming off the first two-goal game of her career on Sunday, Babson College junior Olivia Kerester
(Chappaqua, N.Y.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic
Conference (NEWMAC) women's soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week on
Tuesday afternoon.
After being held off the scoreboard in Tuesday's 3-0 victory over
Wellesley, Kerester was one of three players to score in the first half
of Saturday's 3-0 win over Coast Guard. She followed it up with a career
day against Bowdoin, scoring twice and assisting on another goal as the
Beavers rallied to defeat the Polar Bears, 3-2.
Kerester gave the Green and White the lead in the 24th minute and set
up the team's tying marker with a free kick in the 73rd minute. She
then notched the third game-winning goal of her career with 6:01 left in
regulation to help Babson win its fourth straight game while extending
its winning streak to six matches.
The Beavers (10-2-3, 3-0-3 NEWMAC), who are ranked fifth in the NSCAA
New England poll, return to action on Saturday when they visit Clark at
1 p.m.
