AMHERST, Mass. – This weekend, the Amherst College women's golf team will compete in the inaugural NESCAC Women's Golf Championship at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass. Williams will host the tournament, which will begin Saturday, Oct. 10 at noon with a shotgun start, and play continuing Sunday, Oct. 11 at 9 a.m.
Through three tournaments, the Purple & White have emerged as one of the top contenders to take the conference crown. After placing fourth at the NYU Invitational (642) and the Mount Holyoke Invitational (651), Amherst posted its best finish of the early season last weekend when it claimed second overall at the Middlebury Invitational (656).
