Men’s Golf Earns Runner-Up Honors At CCC Fall Qualifier

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine — The Endicott men's golf team placed second overall at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Fall Qualifier on Thursday evening at the Dunegrass Golf Club.


Nichols edged Endicott by two strokes (319-321)

to take top honors at the event and earn the right to host the CCC Championship this coming spring.

Meanwhile, the University of New England (327) and Suffolk (338) also punched their tickets into the championship round.


The rest of the field was rounded out by Western New England (340), Gordon (343), Roger Williams (349), and Wentworth (349), in respective order.


Individually for the Gulls, Nicholas Grimbilas (Strafford, N.H.) led the way in second place behind a score of 75 (37-38, +3) on the par 72 course (6,684 yards).


Tyler Baker (Falmouth, Maine) was fourth overall (tied, 78, +6), while Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.) and Frank Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.) posted identical scores of 84 and Jack Bushee (Bennington, Vt.) shot an 89.

Endicott returns to action on Saturday, September 18, and Sunday, September 19 at the Williams College Invitational.
