Volleyball Drops Five Set Thriller 3-2 at Rhode Island College


Providence, RI - The Framingham State University volleyball team trailed two sets to one before pulling out the fourth set forcing a decisive fifth game won by the host Anchorwomen as RIC defeated the Rams 3-2 this evening in non-conference action at The Murray Center.

- Scores:  RIC 3, Framingham State 2 (23-25, 25-11, 25-20, 20-25, 15-9) 

- Records: Framingham State (1-1), RIC (2-0) 

- Location: The Murray Center  Providence, RI  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams edged RIC 25-23 in the opening set before the hosts came back taking the next two by scores of 25-11 and 25-20. The Rams tied the match 25-20 in the fourth before the hosts took the match, taking the fifth 15-9. 

  • Natalie Reynolds paced the Rams with 18 kills on 46 attempts with just five errors, while Jaimee Lowe finished the match with 13 kills and 16 defensive digs.

The Rams are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Elms for a tri-match.
