Gaydos and Morlock Named to the 2025 NFHCA Division III Watchlist

Colorado Springs, Colo. - September 4, 2025 -
Junior Hailey Gaydos (Newington, Conn.) and senior Nicolette Morlock (Rexford, N.Y.) of the Springfield College field hockey team have been named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Watchlist for this season. This is Gaydos second consecutive year being named to the watchlist.

To be nominated for the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years and nominated by their NFHCA member coach.

In 2023, Gaydos was named to the NFHCA Division III All-Region I Second Team after being named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference First Team and the Division III Field Hockey All-ECAC Team. So far in her career, she totals 22 goals and five assists while also being named a two-time NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad selection, a NFHCA Division III Scholar of Distinction, and a NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selection. Two games into the season, Gaydos has already scored a goal in a 5-0 win against Simmons in the season opener.

Morlock had a breakout 2024 season, being one of the top defensive and offensive players in the league. She was the lone member of the Pride to be named to the NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team after scoring five goals and dishing out five assists while helping lock down the defense. Academically, she is a three-time NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad selection, a two-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selection, and was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) At-Large Academic All-District team last season. Like Gaydos, Morlock has already registered a goal and also has two defensive saves after the first two games of the season.

Springfield field hockey will travel to Eastern Connecticut State University for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, September 9 at 4:00 pm.
