NFCA Honors 15 Softball Players as Division I All-America Scholar-Athletes

Harvard had the most NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes of all the Ivy League schools (Envision Sports Media).
LOUISVILLE, Ky.  – On Tuesday, Oct. 6, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association honored its 2014-15 All-America Scholar-Athletes with 15 Harvard players earning the honor.

Harvard's 15 selections are its most in recent years, topping the 12 Scholar-Athletes in 2013-14 and 10 in 2012-13. The Crimson also paces the Ancient Eight with Yale being the next Ivy school on the list with 10 nods. In total, Harvard accounted for 15 of the Ivy League's 37 selections (40.5 percent).

To be selected as an NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete, a student-athlete must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher for that academic year. Nationally, over 5,000 players from the high school through the NCAA Division I level earned the recognition, with over 1,500 of those coming from Division I, the most of any division.
