CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – As the football team hosts Wake Forest Saturday
at Alumni Stadium, Boston College is set to celebrate Eagles past and
present throughout the week and leading up to the game with the annual
Spirit Week and Homecoming to the Heights celebrations.
Boston
College Athletics, in partnership with The Division of Student Affairs
and the Boston College Alumni Association, will host a number of special
events throughout the week, which will culminate when the Eagles take
on the Demon Deacons on Oct. 10.
In conjunction with the annual Homecoming celebration, the Boston College Varsity Club Hall of
Fame will formally induct its eight-person Class of 2015
on Friday night, and the eight newest members of the Hall of Fame will
recognized at halftime of Saturday's football game. This year's
induction class includes Doug Brzezinski '98 (football), Chris Georgules
'95 (track and field), Mary Guarino '00 (women's soccer), Paul Keegan
'96 (men's soccer), Mike Mottau '00 (men's hockey), Alissa Murphy
Richardson '00 (women's basketball), Kelly McManus Souza '02 (women's

The weekend's
festivities kick off at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday night when the Office of
Student Affairs will sponsor a fireworks display over Alumni Stadium.
The show will be lit from the top floor of the Beacon St. Garage. Fans
who plan to view the show are encouraged to enter Alumni Stadium through
Gate D, and the show is expected to be visible from most of the
Chestnut Hill campus.
The Division of Student Affairs will focus
on week-long programming to promote BC spirit on campus, featuring the
annual student Homecoming dance. Other activities include Thursday's
Class Colors Day (2016 – light blue, 2017 – red, 2018 – green, 2019 –
purple), a 6 p.m. Powder Puff Football game at Alumni Stadium before the
fireworks, and Maroon & Gold Day on Friday.
Saturday, all
former student-athletes are invited to a special reception outside of
Gate C, and the 1969 football team will be reunited and recognized
during the game. Winners of the Division of Student Affairs' Spirit Cup
will also be recognized during the football game.
BC Alumni are
invited back to campus for homecoming and the Alumni Association is
planning a special tailgate. For more information or to register for
