Golf Competes in First Round of ECAC Championships

Southwick, Mass. - After day one of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Division III Championship, the Pride's Travis Price (Reading, Mass.) is tied for 13th place with a score of 76, shooting four over par and seven strokes behind the lead.

The Springfield College men's golf team is competing at the Ranch Golf Club during the two-day championship.

The next individual for the Pride is Greg Allen (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), who is tied in 34th place with a score of 83, while Chris Paradis (Westfield, Mass.) is tied for 52nd place with a score of 89. Ryan Blain (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Brent Poulin (Atascadero, Calif.) are also competing for the Pride and are in 64th and 65th place, respectively.

Trinity College leads with a score of 291, followed closely by Middlebury College with a score of 296. Tied for third place are Endicott College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at a score of 302, while Western New England University is in fifth place with a score of 322. The Pride finished day one in 12th place and with a score of 345.
