WINTER WEATHER ALERT: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island  - Due to predicted snow in the forecast this weekend brings out winter weather advisories for Massachusetts, except the cape, Connecticut, Rhode Island from the National Weather Service.

EST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total
  snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected. There is also
  a low probability for a few places in the central hills of
  Massachusetts and Rhode Island to see isolated 7 or 8 inch
  amounts.

* WHERE...Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts away from
  the Cape and Islands.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Saturday to 7 AM EST Sunday. Highest snow
  accumulations should occur Saturday morning into the evening
  hours.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
  times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Missing 13 Year Old Rhode Island Girl FOUND

Portsmouth, Rhode Island - Police say they've found a 13-year-old girl reported missing from her home in Portsmouth.

A Portsmouth Police spokesman said early Thursday that the girl was found alive and that an Amber Alert issued for her has been canceled. He says authorities will issue a statement with additional details later in the day.

Kathryn Botelho was reported missing by her mother Wednesday morning. Police say a witness saw someone matching Botelho's description leave the family home with man. The two were seen in an older model red car.

The spokesman says an investigation is continuing with the assistance of the Rhode Island State Police and the FBI.

Search For Missing 13 Year Old Rhode Island Girl

Portsmouth, Rhode Island - An Amber Alert has been issued for a 13-year-old girl abducted in
Portsmouth, R.I.

Rhode Island State Police said 13-year-old Kathryn Botelho was abducted in Portsmouth at about 9:30 a.m. Police say she may be imminent danger.

Botelho is described as 4'11" tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is approximately 110 pounds. Police said that it was not immediately known what she was wearing when she was taken.

The person who abducted her is described as white man in his 40s or 50s. He was driving a red Chrysler Sebring or Chrysler Concord, possibly with New Jersey plates.
