White House Schedule - July 26, 2013

In the morning, the President will travel to Camp David.  The departure from the South Lawn will be covered by the in-town travel pool.

The President and First Lady invited members of the President's cabinet and their families to spend the day at Camp David on Friday.

In the evening, the President will return from Camp David to the White House.

In the morning, the Vice President and Dr. Biden will meet with U.S. Embassy staff and families in Singapore. This event is closed press. Afterwards, the Vice President and Dr. Biden will tour the Singapore Botanic Gardens and attend an orchid-naming ceremony hosted by the Singapore Government.

At 1:45 PM LOCAL TIME/1:45 AM ET, the Vice President will meet with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Afterwards, the Vice President will travel to the President’s residence. The Vice President’s arrival at the President’s residence is pooled press. At 2:30 PM LOCAL TIME/2:30 AM ET, the Vice President will meet with President Tony Tan.

At 3:00 PM LOCAL TIME/3:00 AM ET, the Vice President will meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. There will be a pool spray at the top of this meeting. Following their meeting, Prime Minister Lee and the Vice President will deliver statements to the press. These statements at 3:45 PM LOCAL TIME/3:45

At 4:15 PM LOCAL TIME/4:15 AM ET, the Vice President will meet with Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.

In the evening, the Vice President will attend a working dinner with Prime Minister Lee.

 Dr. Jill Biden:

At 12:15 PM LOCAL TIME/12:15 AM ET, Dr. Biden will read Make Way for Ducklings to children at the National Library Board as part of a national initiative to promote and encourage a love of reading and good reading habits.

At 2:30 PM LOCAL TIME/2:30 AM ET, Dr. Biden will have tea with Mrs. Mary Tan at Istana, the official residence of the President of Singapore.

White House Schedule - July 24, 2013

Washington DC-In the morning, the President will travel to Galesburg, Illinois. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at the Quad Cities International Airport are open press. While in Galesburg, the President will deliver remarks at Knox College to kick off a series of speeches that will lay out his vision for rebuilding an economy that puts the middle class and those fighting to join it front and center. In these speeches, the President will talk about the progress we've made together, the challenges that remain, and the path forward. The President’s remarks at Knox College are open to pre-credentialed media and ticketed members of the general public. In the afternoon, the President will depart Galesburg, Illinois en route Warrensburg, Missouri. The departure from the Quad Cities International Airport and the arrival at Whiteman Air Force Base are open press. While in Warrensburg, the President will deliver remarks at the University of Central Missouri (UCM). UCM is home to The Missouri Innovation Campus, which prepares students with the education and skills they need to succeed at an accelerated pace while lowering costs and without student debt. The President’s remarks at the University of Central Missouri are open to pre-credentialed media and ticketed members of the general public. In the evening, the President will depart Warrensburg, Missouri en route Washington, DC.
The Vice President will be in Mumbai, India. At 1:00 PM LOCAL TIME/3:30 AM ET, the Vice President will deliver remarks on the U.S.-India partnership at the Bombay Stock Exchange.  Audio of the Vice President’s speech will be streamed live to www.WhiteHouse.gov/Live.

In the afternoon, the Vice President will meet with Indian business, trade, and investment leaders at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel.

Later, the Vice President and Dr. Biden will meet with U.S. Consulate staff and families in Mumbai.

Dr. Jill Biden:

At 12:00 PM LOCAL TIME/2:30 AM ET, Dr. Biden will visit the Mumbai office of UNICEF for a round table discussion on the National Call to Action for Child Survival and Development, a joint initiative of the United States, India, and Ethiopia to accelerate child survival efforts and end preventable child deaths. The participants will include a senior government official from the flagship child survival program, child health experts, social entrepreneurs, and representatives from donor agencies, civil society and private sector.

At 2:30 PM LOCAL TIME/5:00 AM ET, Dr. Biden will visit the DILAASA Crisis Intervention Center at K.B. Bhabha Municipal Hospital. DILAASA is India’s first hospital based anti-Gender Based Violence (GBV) center. The program uses one-stop-crisis-centers best practices from the U.S. and U.K. to serve the victims of GBV in a public hospital. Dr. Biden will tour the facility and meet with the hospital officials, representatives from the local and regional government, and CEHAT (the NGO partner of DILAASA).

In the morning, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Cameron of the United Kingdom at the White House.  The Prime Minister’s visit will highlight the fundamental importance of the U.S.-UK relationship – through which together we address a broad range of shared global and regional security concerns.

In the morning, the Vice President will travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At 10:15 AM, the Vice President will deliver the commencement address at the University of Pennsylvania.

Later in the morning, the President and Prime Minister Cameron of the United Kingdom will hold a joint press conference in the Rose Garden.
In the afternoon, the President will travel to New York City.

While in New York City, the President will deliver remarks at two DNC events at private residences and a joint DCCC/DSCC event at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

In the evening, the President will depart New York City en route Washington, DC.

At 8:30 AM, the Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will host their annual Cinco de Mayo breakfast at the Naval Observatory.

In the morning, the President will deliver remarks at the Anthropology Museum in Mexico City, Mexico.

At 10:30 AM, the Vice President and Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver remarks at the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) Memorial Plaque Ceremony at the State Department to honor the dedication of colleagues in the foreign service.

Later in the morning, the President will meet with Mexican entrepreneurs at the Anthropology Museum in Mexico City, Mexico.

In the afternoon, the President will depart Mexico City, Mexico en route to San Jose, Costa Rica.

While in San Jose, the President will meet and greet with United States Embassy personnel at the InterContinental Real Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Later in the afternoon, the President will participate in a restricted bilateral meeting with President Chinchilla at Casa Amarilla.

Afterwards, the President will participate in an expanded bilateral meeting with President Chinchilla at Casa Amarilla.

Later, the President and President Chinchilla will participate in a cultural event with Costa Rican youth at Casa Amarilla.

In the evening, the President and President Chinchilla will hold a press conference at the National Center for Art and Culture.

In the afternoon, the Vice President will travel to Columbia, South Carolina. At 7:30 PM, the Vice President will deliver keynote remarks at the South Carolina Democratic Party’s 2013 Jefferson-Jackson Dinner at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

Afterwards, the Vice President will return to Wilmington, Delaware.

Later in the evening, the President will participate in a photo with Central American Integration System leaders at the National Theatre.
