Updated BREAKING NEWS...Boston Fire Department Battling 4-Alarm Dorchester Fire...Heavy Fire Now Out

UPDATE 3: Estimate about 30 people displaced from the 9 apts in the 3 buildings. @RedCrossMA on scene to assist.

Mayor's Neighborhood Services rep on scene. @MBTA once again providing a bus for the displaced to stay warm.

UPDATE 2: Chief estimates damage at $750,000.00. Fire Investigators on scene for cause and point of origin.

3 apts per address; 249-247-245. Unknown at this time how many displaced.

UPDATE: Fire was in a large 3 story brick apartment building. Heavy fire now out.

No reported injuries at this time. Appears a fire wall helped 245 Washington. Fire traveled across the rear porches

BREAKING NEWS....Dorchester, Massachusetts - The Boston fire department is on scene in Dorchester at 249 Washington Street battling a four alarm building fire called in at 7:05pm.

DEVELOPING: Boston FD Reponds To 3-Alarm/Fire/Explosion/Partial Collapse

3 alarm companies packing up and leaving. Update from from Boston EMS 12 total treated/transported, 2 serious.
Update: EMS transports from the house explosion in Dorchester at 11 total.
DEVELOPING: Dorchester, Massachusetts - The Boston Fire and EMS are on scene of a 3-Alarm fire/explosion/partial collapse at 27 Hansborough St. Dorchester, some type of explosion that caused partial collapse of a 2 1/2 story house.

The call came in at 9:20pm EST.

Heavy fire reported on arrival in basement and upper floors. Partial collapses on both sides of the house.

Boston EMS has treated/ transported 8 at this time, all residents. 2 elderly in serious condition, 6 others various injuries.
