The Lead: One penalty kick goal from

sophomore Brittney Righetti was all the Emerson women's soccer team needed to take down the host Coast Guard Bears, 1-0, down in New London, Conn. on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

-Coast Guard narrowly outshot Emerson in the opening half at 10-6, yet neither side were able to find the back of the net as the first 45 minutes went scoreless. 

49': Four minutes into the second half, Emerson broke the scoreless streak at the 49th minute when Schollenberger committed a foul costly enough to draw give the Lions a penalty kick opportunity. Righetti set up the shot and rocketed the game's only goal past Schollenberger to give the visitors the 1-0 lead. 

-From the 54th minute to the end of regulation, Schaub stopped three Coast Guard shots to help secure Emerson's tight one-goal win over the Bears.
