"Kenzie is not only a phenomenal lacrosse player, but she is an incredible athlete overall," Wills said. "Kenzie has an incredible athletic IQ and I am just as eager to learn from her as I am sure the team will be. I am excited to see Kenzie transition from player to coach as I know that she will add great skill, enthusiasm, and positivity to our team."
An IWLCA First Team All-American and team captain in 2019, Kent helped lead Boston College women's lacrosse to its greatest era in program history.
A native of Norwell, Mass., Kent led the nation in scoring this past season, racking up 127 points on 52 goals and 75 assists. Kent helped guide BC women's lacrosse to its second straight appearance in the NCAA championship game.
A First-Team All-ACC selection, Kent set the single-season program assist record just 12 games into the season before going on to hit her 75 total on the year. Kent also picked up 35 ground balls, 25 draw controls and caused 10 turnovers. She finished her standout collegiate career with 255 career points (124 goals, 131 assists).
A graduate of the Sport Administration Masters' program in BC's Woods College, Kent also made her mark in another sport at Boston College.
One of the most versatile athletes in the NCAA and the 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference Female Athlete of the Year, Kent starred for the BC women's hockey team, leading the Eagles to three Frozen Fours. Kent completed her hockey career tied for eighth in program history in career points (138), fourth in career assists (98) and setting the program's games played record (157).
Kent earned her undergraduate degree from the Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences as a communication major in May of 2018. She was a three-time U.S. Lacrosse high school All-American (2012, 2013, 2014).
