Neither team scored for just over 59-plus

minutes before both teams combined to score five times in the final 30-plus minutes of play.

Wheaton scored twice in a span of 80 seconds to erase a 2-1 deficit in the final four minutes of play, including Brown's game-winner. First year midfielder Nevaeh Petruzzi (Exeter, N.H.) crossed to Brown in front of the net, who corralled the ball, made a move on the keeper and fired a left-footed shot into the back of the net to give the Lyons a 3-2 lead. The score was her first collegiate goal.

Petruzzi factored into Wheaton's game-tying marker as well with an assist just 80 seconds prior to the game-winner. She found senior midfielder Jaime Rattenni (West Greenwich, R.I.) at the top of the 18-yard box, where Rattenni turned and lifted a shot into the upper left corner, just outside of the WPI keeper's reach at 86:17 to make it 2-2. Rattenni's two scores marked the third time in her career that she registered two goals in a game.

The Engineers held a 12-11 edge in shots, while the Lyons owned a 7-3 margin on corner kicks.

Rattenni put Wheaton on the board to break the scoreless tie when she scored her team-high fifth goal of the season off a free kick in the 60th minute of play. The lead lasted just over five and a half minutes after junior back Annika Keck (Oakland, Calif.) tallied her third goal of the season for WPI. First year midfielder Madisyn Bagby (Aurora, Colo.) set her up on a corner kick at 64:30 of the second half to pull the visitors even at 1-1.

The Engineers took a 2-1 lead when sophomore back Allison Escott (Columbia, Conn.) converted her first collegiate goal after lifting a shot into the right side in the 74th minute of play.

Sophomore keeper Gabby Marcus (Austin, Texas) stopped three shots to earn the win for the Lyons, while senior goalie Lauren Paul (Schaghticoke, N.Y.) made three saves for WPI.

Wheaton returns to the pitch on Saturday, October 9 when it hosts Mount Holyoke College at Mirrione Stadium at 1:00 p.m. for the team's Senior Day, while the Engineers host Wellesley College at 4:00 p.m. on the same day.
