Top Performers
• Sophomore midfielder Lindsey Phillips (East Longmeadow, Mass.) fueled the Western New England offense, as she scored a career-best five goals and matched her career-high with six points. Phillips also secured a team-high four draws.
• Junior Kristen Breen (Ellington, Conn.) and sophomore Shannen Barrett (Rensselaer, N.Y.) tallied two goals and two assists each, while freshman Reilly Miller (Goshen, N.Y.) finished with one goal, one assist, two draw controls and three ground balls.
• Worcester State was led by the senior duo of Alexis Vecchiarelli (Agawam, Mass.) and Mackenzie Little (Marlboro, Mass.), who both recorded five goals and one assist.

The Lancers raced out to a 6-1 lead just over ten minutes into the contest with the help of two free position goals from sophomore Kelly Austin (Brimfield, Mass.).

Western New England pulled to within three (6-3) following goals from Breen (19:03) and sophomore Eileen Ruby (New Fairfield, Conn.) (18:21), but Little (17:26) and Vecchiarelli (14:32) answered for the Lancers to restore Worcester State's five-score lead.
The Golden Bears outscored the Lancers 4-1 over the final 12:44 of the half to pull to within two (9-7) at the break.
Western New England opened the second half with a 4-2 run and tied the score at 11-11 when Barrett set up Ruby with 17:54 remaining in the contest.
Sophomore Kaylee Krajewski (Holyoke, Mass.) put the Lancers back in front for good just 24 seconds later, and Vechiarelli buried two straight goals later in the half to give Worcester State a 14-11 lead with 8:33 on the clock.
The Golden Bears cut their deficit to one (15-14) with two late goals from Phillips (4:25, 2:57) and one from Breen (2:10), but they were unable to complete the comeback.
Little notched her fifth goal in the closing seconds to extend the final margin to two.
