BREAKING NEWS: Firefighters Battling 4th-Alarm 238 Havre St, Boston Structure Fire

4:25pm Update from Boston Fire Department, Extensive overhaul at 238 Harve St. East Boston. BFD will maintain (2) Engines & (2) Ladders at this location. (21) residents displaced. (1) FF & (4) residents transported with non-life threatening injuries.

Approx. $1.2 million in damages. FIU still on scene. Cause to be determined.

2:37pm Update: Per command, heavy fire knocked down, chasing hot spots.
1:55pm Update: Still keeping firefighters off of the roof and 3rd floor. On the roof, the area around the chimney has burned away and collapsed. Danger of the chimney falling at some point. Defense operations continue.
1:36pm Update: According to Boston FD, One firefighter treated and transported by with a burn injury. No civilians injured at this time. Ongoing.
1:18pm Update: All members have already been ordered off of the roof. Now ordering some members from 3rd floor on the B side to relocate to 2nd floor.
1:15pm Update:  According to Boston FD, Heavy fire in the top floor ceiling. Starting to rotate fresh companies in to rehab first due firefighters. Pulling ceilings to expose fire. Ongoing.
1:10pm Update: Command has ordered a 4th-alarm.
BREAKING NEWS: Boston, Massachusetts - Firefighters from area departments are battling a 3-alarm structure fire on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 at 238 Havre St, Boston, Massachusetts.
