Eagles Fall a Run Short Against Crimson

BC drops to 18-13 on the season

BC HIGHLIGHTS

  • Sophomore Allyson Frei recorded a complete game, pitching six innings while conceding three hits and two earned runs. She also struck out seven and walked one.
  • Freshman Loren DiEmmanuele picked up her team-leading 15th stolen base of the season.

TURNING POINT
  • DiEmmanuele was thrown out at home plate by Harvard in the top of the sixth in what would have been the game-tying run.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Crimson got things going in the bottom of the third inning, plating their only two runs of the game. After stealing second, Rhianna Rich advanced to third on a wild pitch before being brought home by a Meagan Lantz single. Savannah Bradley followed that up with a double that scored Lantz.
  • Boston College would rally in the top of the sixth, putting runners on second and third with one out. Senior Jessie Daulton singled to right field, plating senior Megan Cooley. DiEmmanuele was thrown out at home on the play.

UP NEXT
The Eagles will take on Boston University on Wednesday, March 30 at 4 p.m. at BU Softball Field in Boston, Mass.
