Lowell, Massachusetts --- Dangerous water conditions along the Merrimack River
forced an early ending to WPI women's rowing season opener in the
Textile River Regatta on the Merrimack River. The Crimson and Gray was
only able to participate in a pair of races before the decision was made
to cancel the rest of the events.
The Engineers had a strong showing in the club eight with the A boat
placing third in a time of 22:37.483 and the B boat crossing the line in
eighth with a time of 24:05.591. Additionally Victoria Loehle (Morganville, NJ) raced to a seventh place showing (34:51.549) in the open one.
