Updated BREAKING NEWS...Boston Fire Department Battling 4-Alarm Dorchester Fire...Heavy Fire Now Out

UPDATE 3: Estimate about 30 people displaced from the 9 apts in the 3 buildings. @RedCrossMA on scene to assist.

Mayor's Neighborhood Services rep on scene. @MBTA once again providing a bus for the displaced to stay warm.

UPDATE 2: Chief estimates damage at $750,000.00. Fire Investigators on scene for cause and point of origin.

3 apts per address; 249-247-245. Unknown at this time how many displaced.

UPDATE: Fire was in a large 3 story brick apartment building. Heavy fire now out.

No reported injuries at this time. Appears a fire wall helped 245 Washington. Fire traveled across the rear porches

BREAKING NEWS....Dorchester, Massachusetts - The Boston fire department is on scene in Dorchester at 249 Washington Street battling a four alarm building fire called in at 7:05pm.
