BREAKING NEWS: Boston FD Battles 8-Alarm Fire Caused By Parked Car

Update 3: Cause of the 8 alarms was a fire in the engine area of a car parked in the driveway right next to 85 Lexington St.

83 Lexington, a 2 1/2 story wood frame house received some fire, smoke and water damage.

89 Lexington, a 3 decker,  received melted siding, smoke and water damage.

The fire traveled out of the car and traveled up the left side of the house, which was about a foot away.

The fire also extended into a cellar window right next to the car and traveled up from the inside also.

One firefighter treated and transported by Boston EMS to get checked out at a hospital. Estimate 33 displaced from 3 houses

Update 2: Chief estimates a combined damage of $750,000.00 Main fire was at 85 Lexington.
Update: Heavy fire contained to primary fire building and is bring knocked down. Several master streams and blitz guns in operation.
BREAKING NEWS....Boston, Massachusetts - The Boston Fire Department is battling a eight alarm 2 1/2 story wood frame house fire in East Boston on 85 Lexington street. 7 families displaced due to this fire.

No injuries at this time according to Boston EMS.
