In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office.
In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet for lunch in the Private Dining Room.
Later, the President will conduct interviews with four local television anchors at the White House about how the government shutdown has affected their communities and how an economic shutdown would be even worse. The interviews are embargoed until 5:00pm EDT.
