No. 58 Women's Tennis Topples No. 69 Yale, 6-1

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 58 women's tennis team surpassed No. 69 Yale with a 6-1 result in New, Haven, Connecticut on Friday afternoon.

In doubles action, Harvard's No. 1 and 2 pairings topped the Bulldog earning the first point of the match. June Lee and Erica Oosterhout defeated Madeleine Hamilton and Tina Jiang with a score of 7-5, while Annika Ringblom and Sabrina Xiong earned a victory over Ree Ree Li and Carol Finke with a score of 6-2.

Six Crimson players tallied singles victories in its second-straight win in Ivy League play. Nikki Kallenberg topped Jiang with set scores of 6-3, 6-2, while Oosterhout defeated Ree Ree Li, 6-1, 6-0. Ringblom also tallied a win over Sherry Li, 6-2, 6-2. Xiong and He were the only two Crimson to go into the three set earning victories with scores of 6-4, 5-7, 10-6, and 5-7, 6-1, 10-8, respectively.

Harvard takes on No. 72 Brown in its final home contest of the season and will honor its lone senior in Amy He prior to the match.
